CRIEVE HALL

Kidtown

At Midtown, we do more than just take care of our children.

We see our family discipleship as both an honor and a privilege, a primary way to spread the good news of Jesus. On Sundays, we work to create a safe, consistent, gospel-centric environment for children that we call Kidtown. Kidtown is available during the 10am service at Crieve Hall. Come and see how we’re planting seeds of truth in the hearts of the next generation.

Our philosophy

Join kids in worship, wonder, and learning.

Kidtown is a way to serve families by caring for and engaging with children from birth through 5th grade, partnering with parents to nurture growth.

Through Kidtown, we teach children biblical truths, planting seeds of the gospel to equip them to follow Jesus all of their days.

Engaging in Worship

In each of our classrooms, children are encouraged to participate in age-appropriate worship, immersive lessons, and cross-generational discipleship.

Age Groups

Care and teaching for every stage of childhood.

Nursery
For babies up to age 2, we provide a safe place for children to be loved, played with, and cared for.
Toddlers
For children 2 and 3 years old, we have rooms staffed with volunteers who will play, sing, and read to toddlers.
PreK-Kindergarten
For children 4 and 5 years old, we work our way through the Old and New Testaments, exploring Bible stories in an engaging format that includes memory work, story time, art studies, and hands-on responses.
1st-5th Graders
Children in our elementary program are taught scripture in a 3-year-cycle that looks forward to Jesus being born, learns about his life on earth, and explores what the church is to do until he comes again. They memorize and have discussions about scripture and use their creativity to actively respond to what they are learning.
6th-12th grade
6th graders and above are part of our Youth ministry at Midtown, and they meet with other students on Sunday afternoons. Visit our Youth page to learn more.
What to Expect

Drop off & Pick up

Our Kidtown check-in stations are located down the hallway on your left as you enter the Crieve Hall Elementary building. If you are visiting for the first time, tell us that you're coming by clicking here to speed up the process.

When parents arrive, they go to designated kiosks to check in their child, receiving a name tag and parent badge. Then, parents escort each child (age 3 and younger) to their classrooms, dropping off their child with the printed name tag and keeping the parent badge for pick up.

Children in PreK-5th grade will attend worship with their families and then be dismissed to their classrooms before the sermon. Children will line up behind their class sign in the hallway outside of the sanctuary.
