Meet in Homes & Groups

Church isn’t a place—it’s who we are, shaped as we seek God together in community.

What we believe

God made you.

He made you to be loved.

He made you to be with one another.

He made you to live life to the fullest.

What drives us

Made to be with.

Life is crazy, and we often have too much going on. But Jesus urges us to stop. To slow down. To rest in his goodness and be made new in his word.

And at Midtown, we don’t do that alone. Through Groups, we let Jesus in and let others in, learning together how he is making us new here in living rooms across Nashville.

Our Philosophy

At Midtown, Groups are more than a Bible study or a social club. They are how we become more like Jesus.

What Groups are like

Groups are made up of around 10-15 people meeting weekly in homes around Nashville to be together, talk through scripture, and share life. They are open to anyone–friends, neighbors, or coworkers–whether you’re brand new or have been around for a while. Each group spends time catching up, reading a Bible passage, and having honest conversations about how it applies to everyday life. It’s a laid-back, welcoming space where we can show up as we are and become more like Jesus through relationships centered around his word.

Why Groups matter

At Midtown, we don’t have Sunday School or lectures. We focus on Groups, a place where we can form deep, gospel-centered relationships. This is the primary way that we encourage each other in our faith and our relationship with Jesus. Through each other, God shows us more of himself and starts to make us more like him. And it all starts by showing up.

Who leads Groups

Our group leaders are just people, like you. They have regular jobs, live in the neighborhood, and are part of your church community. They are not Bible scholars or theology professors, but they have been trained to lead Groups that are honest, welcoming, and gospel-centered. Leaders are called to serve Midtown by opening up their homes and giving their time to Groups each week. Leaders have said yes to following Jesus in their own lives and letting their obedience to Jesus shape those around them in the process.
