First, let’s celebrate the fact that you’re interested in baptism for you or someone you know. How exciting! Baptism is a part of us beginning a relationship with Christ, and beginning with Christ is a big deal. That means different things for adults and infants, but it is an important event in either case.

What is baptism?

Baptism is a sign and seal that marks a person as belonging to the community of God and participating in Christ’s promises. Performed by sprinkling with water in the name of the triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), this is one of the two sacraments practiced at Midtown Fellowship.

Who can be baptized?

A person who has professed faith in Christ may be baptized, as well as the children of members.

How do I get baptized or get my child baptized?

Baptism is a community endeavor, where vows are exchanged and new people are welcomed into the family of God. For this reason, preparing for baptism is a community endeavor. The first step in the process is filling out this form. You can expect a member of our staff to follow up with you about scheduling the baptism and arranging a meeting with an elder or pastor to hear more of your story and to answer any questions you might have about baptism.

When can I schedule a baptism?

Baptisms are typically scheduled for the third Sunday of the month and are limited to one baptism per service. Please note: membership is required for parents who wish to have their child baptized.
