Gather on sundays

Each Sunday, we gather in many locations for worship and to remember our shared identity.

At Midtown, we meet together on Sundays in various buildings around Nashville.

During this time, we worship in whatever state we’re in, reminding ourselves who we are and whose we are. Some of us meet in a school gym, some in a concert venue, and some in a sanctuary because we believe that the church is not a building; it’s a group of people.

Worship at midtown
Come honestly
If you’ve ever felt like you have to clean yourself up before you come to church or are unworthy to walk in the doors of a building, then you’ve come to the right place. At Midtown, we believe that worship is actually best experienced when you aren’t putting on a show. Wear whatever you want, grab a cup of coffee, and come as you are.
Engage fully
We believe that worship is not a spectator sport – it’s a time to shed the expectations of ourselves and be honest about what is going on. Whether you are feeling angry, excited, confused, disappointed, lonely, or joyful, God is interested in the real you. He calls us to participate in worship with our whole selves–mind, body, and soul.
Receive openly
Through worship, we remind ourselves that there is a bigger story being told than our own, that we’re not alone, and that we can walk with courage through this journey of life. The Lord meets us when two or more are gathered in his name, and he shows us more of himself during this time.
What we do

Engage with God and our community through song, prayer, and the study of scripture.

Sing

Song is how we remember and reclaim what is true about us. Through music, we are awakened to what is going on in our hearts, and the Holy Spirit uses this to restore our souls.

Pray

Prayer is how we commune with God in a culture of distraction and escapism. It is a way to slow down and receive throughout the service both individually and collectively.

Learn

Each Sunday, we study one passage of scripture across all congregations, diving into what God has to say to us through the Bible. Then, we revisit those same passages in Groups during the week.

WHERE WE MEET

On Sundays, you can find us at six locations across Nashville—each one as unique and vibrant as the neighborhood it is in.

No matter which congregation you find yourself in, you’ll be welcomed by a caring community with a heart for Jesus and a love for Nashville.
