GRANNY WHITE

Prayer

At Midtown Granny White, we deeply desire to cultivate a culture of prayer.

We believe that God hears and answers when his people seek him. Prayer is not an add-on to our walk with Christ — it's the foundation of it. Personnally and corporately, we desire to be a people who regularly turn to the Lord, depend on His presence, and interceded faithfully for one another, our community, our church, and the world.

Creating a culture of prayer means creating intentional spaces to seek God together and encouraging rhythms of prayer in everyday life. Through weekly gatherings and monthly prayer nights, we are growing as a church that continually and expectantly looks to the Lord with hope.

As Andrew Murray says, "If there is one thing I think the church needs to learn, it is that God means prayer to have an answer, and that it hath not entered into the heart of man to conceive what God will do for his child who gives himself to believe that his prayer will be heard."

Creating a culture of care at Granny White through the ministry of showing up.

Weekly Prayer Hour

In the middle of each week, we gather in the sanctuary from 12:00 to 1:00pm for a dedicated time of worship and guided prayer. Led by our staff, this hour creates space to slow down, refocus our hearts, and seek the Lord together. Come for the full hour or simply stop in as you're able — all are welcome.

Monthly Prayer Gathering

On the last Thursday of each month, our church family gathers for an evening devoted to prayer. This is a time for our whole congregation to worship, intercede, and seek God’s direction together. As we lift up our church, our city, and the world, we grow in unity and shared dependence on the Lord.

Ongoing Prayer Requests

Prayer is not limited to scheduled gatherings. When you submit a prayer request, our prayer ministry team will commit to interceding on your behalf. If desired, we are also available to meet and pray with you personally, believing that no burden is too small or too heavy to bring before the Lord together.
